After a couple of weeks of shooting photos inside the alley, I finally decided to change the bulky lantern to one that is more accurate to those found in a Japanese alley.
I had a difficult time positioning minifigs because that lantern just took up too much space and hung quite low. The new design allows minifigs to move under it.
I’ve also added small red lantern because these yokochos are full of them. If I can squeeze in some more down the road, I will.
I was thinking about adding crates of bottles or a keg, but they are a bit too bulky for the alleyway, so I just went with a couple of bottles. They might be empty sake, wine, or soda bottles. They could be water bottles too: apparently, Japanese leave out these ‘nekoyoke’ to scare off cats!
