About

My name is Anna Bitanga though in the toy photography world, most people know me as Four Bricks Tall. The name comes from the height of a standard LEGO minifigure, the tiny subject at the heart of most of my work.

I’m a portrait photographer (of humans and occasionally pets) and the founder of Stud Shooters, a subreddit dedicated to brick-based toy photography. I previously managed BrickCentral, the largest LEGO photography community online, and served as a LEGO Ambassador for several years.

I’m also the person behind Minifig Realms, a custom accessories maker specializing in capes, scabbards, and other miniature-scale gear for LEGO minifigures. My photography doubles as product photography there, too.

On YouTube, I teach toy photographers advanced techniques in lighting and composition through in-depth tutorials and behind-the-scenes walkthroughs. For quicker inspiration, I share tips for all skill levels through Instagram Reels and Stories.

My work has taken me some interesting places. I’ve judged a Flickr × LEGO photography contest, presented at the very first LEGO CON, and been featured by LEGO, Sony Alpha Universe, and DIYPhotography. My minifigure photography has appeared on LEGO’s own social media channels.

In 2023, I collaborated with Chronicle Books and The LEGO Group on LEGO In Focus, a coffee table book celebrating the art of LEGO photography. I’m also a guest contributor to New Elementary, one of the most respected LEGO blogs in the community.

My work has been featured in Blocks Magazine, Brick Fanatics, and Bricka.

I also write essays on Take Better Toy Photos on Substack.
